Respiratory and General Medicine

All of our hospitals offer respiratory and general medicine services, including one-stop diagnostics and comprehensive treatment options. We also offer ‘Rapid Access Clinics’ for urgent access to diagnosis and immediate treatment of a wide range of conditions. Our Respiratory Physicians are experts in their field and can treat patients with a variety of respiratory problems.

Patients may also be suffering from respiratory conditions which result from an underlying medical condition. At Aspen Hospitals, Consultants are able to liaise closely with colleagues from other medical, surgical and diagnostic disciplines, such as cardiology, rheumatology, radiology, infectious diseases, neurology, oncology, ENT surgery, and critical care.

Aspen Hospitals’ team of rheumatologists provide a full range of diagnostic, management and treatment services for patients with arthritis, rheumatic and other musculoskeletal conditions. This could include inflammatory arthritis, soft tissue conditions, autoimmune rheumatic disorders, osteoarthritis, spinal pain and metabolic bone disease.

We diagnose, treat and care for people of all ages with rheumatic conditions at and our Parkside Hospital even offers a dedicated Young Person’s Clinic. Musculoskeletal conditions and juvenile arthritis can be diagnosed at an early age and our child-friendly approach keeps the patient and their family informed and reassured at all times. Musculoskeletal conditions may also affect some other organ systems or joints, and their management can be complex.

As Rheumatology is a multidisciplinary specialty, the team works in close liaison with orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists and other specialists to achieve overall better quality of life.
